Taiwan Mahjong Development Association Offering Twenty Umpire Jobs
The Taiwan Mahjong Development Association is currently recruiting twenty umpires for positions they have available. They need the umpires for many upcoming Mahjong competitions that will take place. People who need a job and love the game of Mahjong are encouraged to apply for the position.

The first event will take place on March 8th at Caotun Township in Nantou. The Association is hoping to promote the game of Mahjong as a wholesome leisure and entertainment activity. They would also be creating jobs for those who are unemployed.

Chang Yen-chieh, the chief of the Mahjong associations Caotun branch commented that Taiwan does not have a formal accreditation system to determine qualifications for a Mahjong judge. Normally private groups obtain referees by training, recruitment or talent at Mahjong competitions.

Each hired umpire will earn NT$2,000 per work day and will be responsible for be a referee at various Mahjong competitions or related activities held by different organizations. This will be a great opportunity for those who love the game of Mahjong and also those who may be struggling due to the economy.
