According to a recent blog by Playstation, TikGames is about to unveil a new mahjong game on the Playstation Network. The company has been working on a game called Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom for the PS3 and it will be available on the PSN in early January for just under ten dollars.

The game can be played in three modes with each one a total different experience. Players can choose the Ancient Tales mode and when a layout is completed then the player gets to see a piece of an ancient Chinese story. To reveal the whole story the player must complete the game.

Five morality tales were chosen from Chinese history. Those tales are: The Fox, Tiger Shoes, The Magic Paintbrush, The Man Who Moved Mountains and Li Chi. Each were broken down into ten sections to create the story mode.

Each section of the story was illustrated and has the look of an old story. The other two modes that will be available are Motion mode and Level Editor mode. The Motion mode has power ups and fast mechanics while the Level editor mode allows for you to build your own levels and share them on PSN. With all these options the new game should be a big hit with Mahjong lovers everywhere.
