Mahjong Time, a mahjong online gaming site, will be having a World Series of Mahjong Monthly Madness Tournament on October 26th. Players must pay a $100 fee to enter the tournament or if a player is a Mahjong Time League Member then the fee is $75. The event will have a $1,000 prize pool up for grabs.

Players will be able to participate in the tournament online and it will begin early Sunday morning. The first round begins at 7am and will end at 9am. Players can take a fifteen minute break at 9am and play will continue at 9:15am. Round two will commence after the break and play will continue until 11:15am. Players will take another 15 minute break and return to play at 11:30am and continue until 1:30pm. All times are shown in Central Time.

The tournament is a one day event and will consist of two elimination rounds and the final round. For players in the United States, play will begin at in the am but for players in China, play will begin in the pm. A full time schedule can be found on the Mahjong Time website.

Each round will consist of sixteen hands or two hours of play, whichever comes first. The next round will not begin until all tables in the first round are completed. Players are allowed fifteen seconds per move. All rules and regulations for the game can be found on the site and players can sign up for the tournament as well.
