In-Poculis is an independent software developer and they recently announced an update to their popular 3D mahjong solitaire game for Mac OS X and Windows. The new update is called In-Poculis Mahjong 2.77 and players can now enjoy the new version.

This version of Mahjong has 120 levels and six different themes which include Christmas, Asian, Halloween, Easter, Wonderland and Future. Players must select tiles that look the exact same to make them disappear but the hard part is tiles can only be clicked on if they are free on one side from other tiles.

New players will find that the first level of each game has a five step tutorial to teach a novice how to play the game. The new version has a standard and expert mode as well as the ability for players to post their scores and a photo on the In-Poculis website.

Bernard Lerat the Co-founder of In-Poculis commented: “we tried all the Mahjong games we could to extract our preferred features. However it was not enough. We wanted to add something really new to the game play and decided to change the scoring by the use of combos. You always have to select identical tiles but you have to evaluate many possibilities to be sure to create straights or four of a kind.”
